Guest Blog Post: 10 Registry Must Haves from Boston NAPS!

About Boston NAPS


Boston NAPS is a private duty nursing company that specializes in prenatal education and postpartum and newborn support. The company only employees Registered Nurses who are experienced in helping mothers and their babies. The benefit of an RN is invaluable!  All of the RNs are CPR/First Aide certified and have hands on experience working in the Boston hospitals on labor and delivery and postpartum units.

Bio for Emily Silver:
Emily Silver is the co-founder of Boston NAPS, LLC.  She graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Boston College and is currently one semester away from graduating with her Masters in Nursing in a Family Nurse Practitioner track.  Emily especially loves teaching, whether it be nurses, new mothers or students.  She works at Boston College as a clinical faculty instructor teaching undergraduate nursing students. Emily spends most of her time visiting mothers after delivery to see how they are adjusting to life at home with their newborn and enjoys teaching the private prenatal classes that Boston NAPS offers.  When Emily is not working, she is spending time with her husband and puppy in Charlestown.  

 
Bio for Jamie O'Day:
Jamie O'Day, RN, BSN, CLC is the co-founder of Boston NAPS, LLC. Jamie is originally from Rhode Island. She graduated from Villanova University with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Jamie took her first job in Northern Virginia on a very busy labor and delivery unit. After a year, Jamie decided it was time to return home to Boston where she continues to work as a labor and delivery nurse. When she is not at the hospital working, she enjoys the time she gets to spend with her clients through Boston NAPS. Jamie also enjoys working with breastfeeding mothers and babies at work or in the home setting. She also spends time working as a clinical instructor for Northeastern University.  Jamie lives in South Boston with her husband and when she is not working she enjoys spending time with her family & friends, taking her dog Brutus for walks, playing sports, and traveling.
